Oct 10, Kathmandu - CPN Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) expressed concern over the continued arrogance of former Prime Minister KP Oli, describing it as "still intact and troubling." Speaking during a discussion with editors in Kathmandu on Friday, Dahal refrained from mentioning KP Sharma Oli by name but criticized the overarching attitude among former leaders.
He stated, “The arrogance of those who previously led the government has not yet diminished. There has been no genuine attempt to understand the people's desires.” Dahal also recalled instances where governments were formed contrary to the spirit of the constitution, democracy, and public sentiment, which he described as wrongdoings.
“Everything was done to remove us that was not democratic or in line with the constitution,” he said. “Now, a large youth-led rebellion is taking place, which has caused unprecedented damage to the country.” Dahal emphasized the importance of adhering to constitutional principles and respecting democratic processes to foster national stability and progress.
