All-party Meeting Begins at Sheetal Niwas, Prime Minister Also Present

Oct 10, Kathmandu - The all-party meeting has begun at the call of President Ram Chandra Poudel.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki is also present at the meeting that began at the Presidential residence, Sheetal Niwas.

This is the first all-party meeting since the formation of the government under Karki's leadership after the Genji Movement. The meeting will discuss the elections scheduled for Falgun 21.

The parties had been complaining that the government had not communicated with them despite announcing the elections.

Deputy President Purna Bahadur Khadka and General Secretary Gagan Thapa from the Nepali Congress, Senior Vice President Ishwor Pokharel and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel from the CPN-UML, Narayan Kaji and Barshaman Pun from the CPN-Maoist Center are present in the meeting.

Acting President DP Aryal and Joint General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Gyanendra Shahi and Bina Lama from the RPP, Senior Vice President Rajendra Pandey and General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal from the Unified Socialist Party, and CK Raut from the Janmat Party are also present.

Similarly, apart from the Prime Minister, ministers Rameshwor Khanal, Kulman Ghising, Om Prakash Aryal, and Jagdish Kharel have also participated on behalf of the government.
