Oct 30, Kathmandu - Litterateur Hom Shankar Bastola's story 'Ragatko Mulya' has been launched.
Launching the story at a program organized in Kathmandu on Thursday, Nepal Srashta Samaj Charman and litterateur Shri Om Shrestha 'Rodan' discussed Bastola's storytelling.
Government employees are reluctant to go to remote places. However, 'Rodan' said that many of his short stories have been published because, even though the storyteller Bastola is a government employee, he goes to remote places without saying that they are accessible, because the subject matter of the story is available.
‘Rodan’ mentioned that because stories touch people the most, there is a provision for prizes of up to two lakh rupees for writing stories these days.
In the program, poets R.M. Dangol and Pradeep Sapkota discussed the strengths and weaknesses of public storytelling by providing literary commentary on the work.
Storyteller Bastola said that he wrote the story of this society and soil.
At a program organized by Sunkoshi Literary Foundation, writers Chhabiraman Silwal, Radheshyam Lekali, Bheshraj Ghimire and Bodhraj Ghimire spoke about the story.
The publicized work has been published by Sajha Prakashan.
