Oct 30, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress Bagmati Province President Indra Baniya has said that it is not possible to hold a regular or special general convention in Mangsir. Expressing his opinion in the ongoing central committee meeting, he said that a mature decision should be taken regarding the general convention.
Baniya, who is also the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, said, "There is a debate going on right now whether to hold a regular or special general convention. It should be held within three months of the proposal for a special general convention. However, there is no possibility of holding a general convention in Mangsir."
He said that there is no basis for holding a regular convention considering the progress of active membership. He said that if a date cannot be set and implemented now, a good message will not be sent out, and he said that the central committee should take a mature decision.
