Oct 31, Kathmandu - Kathmandu Metropolitan City has issued an urgent notice regarding waste management, urging residents of the Kathmandu Valley to keep their waste safely stored in their homes and compounds until further notice.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City's Department of Environmental Management issued a notice today, stating that waste disposal at the Bancharedanda Landfill Site, the final disposal site for waste in the Valley, is currently not possible due to obstacles in the disposal of waste. The metropolis has requested that waste not be dumped on roads and public places.
