Indian Cricket Team Suffers Disappointing Batting Performance in Second T20 International Against Australia

Oct 31, Kathmandu - The Indian cricket team, which is touring Australia, has had a disappointing batting performance in the second T20 International match. Despite a brilliant half-century from opener Abhishek Sharma, the Indian team was all out for just 125 runs in 18.4 overs.

For India, who opted to bat after Australia won the toss and elected to field, only young batsman Abhishek Sharma was able to put up a fighting performance. He played a brilliant innings of 68 runs off 37 balls, including 8 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from Abhishek, no other player was able to score a big score.

The top order and middle order of the Indian team were a complete failure. The key batsmen including captain Surya Kumar Yadav 1 run, Shubman Gill 5 runs, Sanju Samson 2 runs were dismissed cheaply. The last batsman Harshit Rana gave some support to Abhishek by scoring 35 runs. However, he could not take the team to a respectable score.

Australia's experienced fast bowler Josh Hazlewood proved to be a deadly threat to the Indian batting. He took 3 crucial wickets for just 13 runs in 4 overs. Hazlewood dealt a major blow to India by taking the wickets of Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma. Among the other bowlers, Xavier Bartlett and Nathan Ellis took 2 wickets each.
