Oct 31, Kathmandu - The first-ever horror film festival in Kathmandu began on Friday.

'Kathmandu Horror Film Fest 2025' began on Friday evening at the Russian House, Kamalpokhari.

The three-day festival, organized by the Nepal Film and Culture Academy and in collaboration with the Russian House and the Embassy of Russia, aims to promote new genres of horror, mystery and fantasy in the Nepali film industry, said NFCA Vice President Shiva Puri.

He said that even in this era filled with materialism, such celebrations preserve human relationships and strengthen creative connections.
