Samsung Internet Browser Now Available on Windows PCs

Nov 01, Kathmandu- Samsung Electronics has released a beta version of its popular mobile browser, Samsung Internet, for Windows PCs. The move aims to provide a more seamless and connected experience for customers across the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem.

The company is looking to position itself in the rapidly emerging landscape of AI browsers, which include competitors such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT Atlas and Microsoft’s Edge Copilot Mode.

The beta program will be available in the United States and Korea starting October 30 for users of Windows 11 and Windows 10 (version 1809 and above). Samsung plans to expand it further.

Samsung’s move is focused on advancing the company’s vision of Ambient AI, where AI is seamlessly integrated into everyday life.

Samsung described the new browser as an important milestone that not only provides a more connected experience between mobile and PC, but also paves the way for more intelligent experiences to come. According to Won Jun Choi, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Experience Business, the capabilities of Samsung Internet will redefine the way users interact with the web.

The browser aims to evolve from a PC browser that waits for input to an integrated AI platform that understands users. While users seamlessly switch between devices, Samsung Internet for PC adds a new layer of intelligence powered by Galaxy AI. The company says it is designed to make browsing smarter and more efficient.

When logged into a Samsung account, users can access key Galaxy AI capabilities such as Browsing Assist. Browsing Assist helps summarize and translate webpages instantly. This helps users find information faster.
