Hearing on Writ Petition Against Decision to Recall Ambassador Today

Nov 02, Kathmandu- The hearing of the writ petition against the government's decision to recall Nepali ambassadors from 11 different countries is still ongoing today.

The case against the writ petition, which was kept under review after the hearing was not completed on Friday, will be heard by a joint bench of Justices Saranga Subedi and Shrikant Poudel.

After the Cabinet meeting held on Ashwin 20 decided to recall Nepali ambassadors working in various countries, advocates Pratibha Upreti and Sunil Bhattarai filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court, making the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers the defendant.

The ambassadors recalled by the government are Krishna Prasad Oli of China, Dr. Shail Rupakheti of Germany, Dhan Prasad Pandit of Israel, Dr. Netra Prasad Timalsina of Malaysia, Ramesh Chandra Poudel of Qatar, Junga Bahadur Chauhan of Russia, Naresh Bikram Dhakal of Saudi Arabia, Sunil Nepal of Spain, Chandra Kumar Ghimire of the United Kingdom (UK), Lokdarshan Regmi of the United States of America (USA), and Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi of Japan.
