Nov 2, Kathmandu - Kathmandu Chief District Officer (CDO) Ishwor Raj Poudel has written to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City not to immediately demolish the traffic police division building in Thapathali.

A team of Kathmandu Metropolitan City police, using a bulldozer, had reached the Thapathali traffic police division structure on Sunday morning to demolish it, saying it was built illegally in a heritage area. However, the metropolitan city team has returned after the CDO wrote to the police department requesting not to demolish the structure immediately as it would take time to relocate the police division.
