Police Searching for Nicholas Bhusal

Nov 02, Kathmandu - Police are preparing to arrest Dr. Nicholas Bhusal after he made statements inciting violence. Bhusal had posted on social media that he would surround the houses of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and the then Chief District Officer of Kathmandu (CDO) Chhabi Rijal.

After Bhusal's inflammatory statements, the police have taken security precautions at Oli's residence in Gundu, Bhaktapur.

After Bhusal made inflammatory statements on social media, a cadre of Tarun Dal has warned his group of retaliation.

The Youth Volunteer Force close to the CPN-UML organized a gathering in Gundu on Sunday. The police have analyzed that the 'threat' against Bhusal has increased after the force also organized a motorcycle rally.

The police are looking for Bhusal. An officer from the District Police Range, Kathmandu, told Ratopati that attempts were made to take Bhusal under control to prevent an encounter. Police sources said that Bhusal has cut off communication with the police.
