15 Out of 20 Inmates Who Escaped Bhaktapur Child Correcton Home Have Been Arrested

Nov 02, Kathmandu- Twenty inmates have escaped from the child correction home in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur by breaking the entrance. The inmates escaped by breaking the door of the correction home this afternoon.

Among the abscondings, 15 have been re-arrested from various places so far and the search for the rest is underway, informed Nawaraj Dhungana, Deputy Superintendent of Police of Thimi Police Circle. He informed that the search is on to arrest the rest by this evening.

The correction home has been experiencing clashes and vandalism since it has more than double its capacity and, despite being a child correction home, has started holding young people as prisoners.
