Nov 03, Kathmandu - Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kulman Ghising is preparing to register a new political party.

After lengthy political and strategic discussions, Ghising has reached the intention of registering a new political party under his own leadership.

According to sources close to Minister Ghising, the final decision on the decision to register the party will be taken today or tomorrow.

Until a few days ago, he was planning to register the party in the name of someone else and then take over the leadership before the House of Representatives elections. During that period, a proposal was also made to register the party in the name of a professor from Tribhuvan University.

However, after the discussions held in recent days, especially after the meeting held on Sunday, Ghising has concluded that he will move forward by announcing the party under his own leadership now.

According to sources, preparations are being made to register the party on Kartik 19 (Wednesday). The final decision on the name of the party has not yet been made. Names such as 'Ujyalo Nepal' and 'Nepal Bikas Dal' are under discussion.

Although Ghising is positive towards the name 'Ujyalo Nepal' and its symbol as the 'Electricity bulb', a final decision on this is awaited, the source said.

It is also said that after the party is registered, Ghising will be made the chairman and all others will be included as central members.
