Nov 03, Kathmandu - Jooneli Inc., an IT company that has been providing software services to more than 300 financial institutions in the country and abroad, has developed a secure and world-class remote desktop application, 'Multiple Desk', in Nepal.
In Nepal, it was often necessary to use foreign software — such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk — to provide online customer service. This posed a risk to data security on the one hand and the problem of Nepali money going abroad on the other. To solve this problem, Jooneli Inc. has developed its own solution domestically.
“We have developed a secure and world-class remote desktop application in Nepal,” Junili Inc. CEO Apar Thebe told ICT News. “When using multiple desks, data is secure because our servers are in Nepal.”
Initially developed to provide remote support to its own customers, this software is now available to all businesses.
Multiple Desk has two features: Remote Desktop Portal (RDP) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). RDP is a remote desktop application, where you can access another computer virtually.
Similarly, VDI is useful for large businesses. A ‘virtual desktop’ is developed on the company’s central server, which can be accessed by anyone from anywhere in the world. According to Thebe, VDI technology is more expensive and secure than others.
