Nov 04, Kathmandu - The Inland Revenue Office, Tulsipur, has resumed its services from the Dharamshala of Tri Siddheshwari Temple, Tulsipur.
The office's Chief Tax Officer, Shridhar Tandon, informed that the services provided from the office have been started by renting 13 rooms of the Dharamshala. The office building was completely damaged by vandalism and arson during the Gen-Z movement on Bhadra 23 and 24.
He said that the taxpayer service and all revenue-related services have been started by paying attention to the service recipients. According to him, the service was started from Monday by establishing an office in Dharamshala by making an agreement with the temple to pay a monthly rent of 75 thousand rupees till mid-Ashadha of this fiscal year.
The office has more than 35,000 taxpayers from Dang, east Rukum, Pyuthan, Rolpa, and other districts. Two buildings of the office and the officer's residence have been completely damaged during the protest.
Similarly, two vehicles and all the materials inside the office were burnt down. The office has been operated from a dharamshala as the technical team has suggested that it is not possible to stay in the building.
Earlier, since Ashwin 7, the office had been partially operating services from the association's office provided free of charge by the Tulsipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, but now all services are being provided from the office by renting rooms in the dharamshala.
Some rooms of government offices damaged during the Gen-Z movement in the district have been repaired and services are being provided from those rooms. Some offices are even providing services by putting up small tents and tents in the office premises.
