Nov 04, Kathmandu - Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kulman Ghising has said that the policy related to electric charging stations will be revised soon. He gave this information while speaking at a program organized by the Alternative Energy Promotion Center in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Minister Ghising mentioned that the government has adopted a policy to emphasize electricity consumption in activities such as transportation and cooking to broaden the scope of electrification. He also directed the Alternative Energy Promotion Center to pay special attention to making this policy effective. He said that this will lead to 'demand creation' of electricity.

Minister Ghising also assured that the government will provide necessary support to the private sector that wants to work in the field of wind energy. He said that since wind energy is a potential area for Nepal, the government has a plan to support the private sector that wants to invest in it.

He expressed gratitude to the German government for making a significant contribution to Nepal's energy sector.
