EPS Korea Branch Surrounded Over Delay in Sending Goods to Korea

Nov 04, Kathmandu - The protest has started alleging that the delay in sending them to Korea despite passing the language test through the Employment Permit System (EPS) has been a major blow to the country.

Those who have not been able to travel to South Korea even after two years of passing the language and skills test, surrounded the EPS Korea branch of the Department of Foreign Employment in Gwarko, Lalitpur, on Thursday.

Out of 163,000 people who participated in the exam for 2025, 17,030 passed the language test. Most of them have not been able to go to South Korea because they do not have a contract agreement yet.

They are demanding that workers who have passed the exam be sent to Korea before taking additional science and exams to send workers to Korea.

Since 2008, South Korea has started sending unskilled Nepali workers under the EPS system. Currently, around 100,000 Nepalis are working in Korea.
