Hong Kong Success Begins with a Rough Start for Nepal in Hong Kong Sixes

Nov 06, Kathmandu - Nepal has made a poor start to the Hong Kong Sixes, which began in Mong Kok, Hong Kong.

Nepal lost to Afghanistan by 17 runs in the first match on Friday morning. Batting first, Afghanistan scored 112 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 6 overs.

Karim Janat scored 35 off 10 balls and Farmanullah scored 30 runs unbeaten off 9 balls. Rashid Khan alone took 4 wickets for Nepal. Which included a hat-trick.

In reply, Nepal could only score 95 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 6 overs. Captain Sandeep Zora scored 53 runs in 14 balls before retiring hurt. This included 8 sixes.
Nepal and Afghanistan are in Group A along with South Africa.
