Nov 07, Kathmandu - The 17th TIA Cup Inter-School Basketball Tournament organized by Trungram International Academy (TIA) is set to begin from Friday.

The tournament, which aims to implement the slogan ‘Education and Sports Together’, will see the participation of 40 teams from 28 schools, informed TIA Principal Nira Pradhan at a press conference held on Thursday. 24 teams in the boys’ and 16 teams in the girls’ categories will compete on a league-cum-knockout basis.

The organizers have stated that the tournament will cost around Rs 350,000. The matches of the tournament will be played at the organizer’s court in Hattigowda.
