Discussion Between Political Parties and Gen-Z Representatives on 'Gen-Z Rebellion and Exit'

Nov 07, Kathmandu - A discussion on the ‘Gen-Z rebellion and the way forward’ was held in Kathmandu today between leaders of the CPN-Maoist Center, Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and Gen_Z representative Rakshya Bam.

Maoist leader Rajan Dahal has said that Gen-Z did not have direct participation in the violence of Bhadra 23-24 and that the incident was instigated by the infiltration of other groups. He pointed out that the arson and looting were planned and the responsibility for it needs to be clarified. Nepali Congress leader Sunil Sharma claimed that the government was not in a position to conduct the upcoming Falgun 21 House of Representatives election differently and said that the necessary security and predetermined demands should be addressed promptly.

Gen-Z representative Rakshya Bam commented that the resignation of the Home Minister was no way out and that it was necessary for the current government to be allowed to work. She stressed that the current political environment was not turbulent and stressed that all parties should cooperate to ensure the election. The leaders participating in the discussion agreed to take necessary steps to make the upcoming election successful and protect democracy and the constitution.
