Pickup accident in Baglung: Identity of deceased and injured revealed

Nov 08, Kathmandu - The identities of the deceased and injured in a pickup jeep accident in Dhorpatan, Baglung have been revealed.

Rajendra Adai, 23, of Dhorpatan Municipality-7, died when a pickup (Ga 3 Cha 3819) heading from Burtibang to Dhorpatan met with an accident at Chhabir, on the border of Dhorpatan Municipality-8 and 9, at 10 pm on Friday.

The injured in the accident were Dil Bahadur BK, 27, of Dhorpatan Municipality-9, and Basanta Adai, 24, of Ward No. 7, informed Tilak Manandhar, Chief Police Inspector of the Area Police Office, Burtiwang. He said that the injured driver BK is undergoing treatment at Burtibang Hospital and the injured Adai has returned home.

Police Inspector Manandhar informed that the pickup fell into the Bhuji Khola about 60 meters below the Burtibang-Dhorpatan road. He said, "The identities of all those involved in the accident have now been revealed. Since the accident happened at night, we rushed to rescue them and send them to the hospital. We received news of the accident shortly after and the rescue was also done on time. However, one person died on the spot. One of the injured has returned home, while the driver is undergoing treatment."
