Nov 09, Kathmandu - The Armed Police Force has found the bodies of two Indian citizens, 52-year-old Jignesh Kumar Lallubhai Patel and 17-year-old Priyansa Kumari Patel, who had been missing since Kartik 3.
They had gone missing on Sunday afternoon at around 2 pm from the Gyalsen Hotel in Disyang Rural Municipality-4 of Manang on Kartik 3, intending to visit Maleripa Monastery in the same rural municipality-5.
After they lost contact, the hotel informed the Armed Police Force and Nepal Mountain Rescue Training School, Manang, for search operations.
According to DSP Shailendra Thapa, after their training school in Manang was searching for them, they were unable to find them. On Kartik 23, a team of mountain rescue trained personnel deployed with rescue equipment under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Hira Bahadur GC found their bodies buried in snow about 100 meters above the monastery.
Deputy Spokesperson Thapa informed that the body is currently being taken down from the scene.
