No Network? No Problem! Apple’s Upcoming Satellite Features to Keep iPhones Connected in Remote Areas

Nov 10, Kathmandu - iPhone manufacturer, Apple is preparing to introduce a new satellite-based feature for the iPhone soon. This time, the company is preparing to take the phone to the next level. These features are said to allow users to access maps and messages even when there is no network.

The company's goal is to make iPhones work even when mobile networks are out of reach, Bloomberg reported in a recent report. These features will provide connectivity to iPhones even in mountainous areas, forests, or remote villages.

Offline maps and chat support

Apple already offered the Emergency SOS satellite feature in some countries. This feature was introduced with the iPhone 14 in 2022. This feature allows users to contact rescue teams even when there is no network. Some time later, the company also added the Roadside Assistance feature to help drivers in areas with poor network coverage. Apple is now preparing to take it to the next level. It is allowing users to use maps and messages via satellite. This will allow the phone to work even when offline.
