Nov 11, Kathmandu - Veteran Indian actor Dharmendra has passed away.
The 89-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on Monday after he complained of respiratory problems. He was put on a ventilator as his condition was not stable and the next 72 hours are very important for him, hospital sources said.
Dharmendra, known as 'He-Man' in Bollywood, has left a great mark in his film career spanning over six decades. 'Sholay' in which he starred is one of the highest-grossing Indian films. His last screen appearance will be in the film 'Ikkis', which will be released on December 25.
He is survived by his wife Hema Malini and six children. His children include actors Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol and Aahna Deol, Ajita and Vijeeta. With Dharmendra's death, a piece of history has come to an end in Bollywood.
