Students of Manmohan Technical University Built Various Useful Devices

Nov 11, Kathmandu - Students of Manmohan Technical University, established by the Koshi State Government, have manufactured various useful equipment for agriculture. The final year students of the three-year diploma course at Manmohan Polytechnic, an affiliated institute of the university, have manufactured various machines and equipment, including a solar-powered podway for smart farming and smart cities, which can perform multiple tasks with a single machine.

Similarly, various machines and equipment, including solar-powered podways, have been built in the smart city, including smart farming equipment that can perform agricultural work such as harvesting, threshing, fertilizing and watering, and ploughing, among others, with a single machine. The smart farming machine, built by a group of students from the Electrical Engineering department of Manmohan Polytechnic, was also demonstrated remotely at the university on Monday.

Similarly, students from the university's Electrical and Electronics Engineering department have also built and demonstrated a solar-powered podway for smart cities. Students from the Civil Engineering department have displayed seven demos, including an earthquake-proof old-model house, a modern hospice, a multi-purpose complex, and a commercial mall.

Students of the Information Technology Department have demonstrated software that helps in blood donation, such as a blood donation portal, an employee work management system, a registration and invoice system, and an easy mart that allows online business. Similarly, students from the mechanical department demonstrated a demo of equipment such as a low-loader wagon (car), an automatic washing machine, and an automatic rice plant. Students who pass out of the three-year diploma of the polytechnic have been demonstrating various equipment they have made every year, but due to lack of interest from the private and government sectors in the commercial use of these equipment, all of them have been sitting in warehouses, said Sudip Adhikari, Principal of the Polytechnic.
