Nov 11, Kathmandu - A fire emergency information system has been installed in the Patan Durbar area of ​​Lalitpur.

Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Chiribabu Maharjan inaugurated the system during a program on Tuesday. Mayor Maharjan said that the system was installed with the aim of providing necessary information for immediate control during a fire disaster.

He also informed that the system was put into operation as a trial and that if it works effectively, there is a plan to install it in Lalitpur Square. On the occasion, Mayor Maharjan also claimed that Lalitpur Metropolitan City has worked better in the disaster area than all the municipalities in the country.

Lalitpur Metropolitan City has already launched the toll-free number 1131 to hear complaints during disasters.
