Nov 13, Kathmandu - The Karnali Province Police Hospital in Surkhet has conducted a two-day health check-up camp for police officers under the 'Police Hospital with Police Units' program. The first phase of the health check-ups at the hospital was conducted for police officers stationed in Birendranagar.
Data on the health of the police officers was collected, and health examinations and BMI checks were conducted.
The hospital has stated that the problems faced by the police will be identified and medicines will be administered in the hospital accordingly. 'In addition to the health check-up, we have also collected data on the problems faced by the police.' Karnali Province Police Hospital Chief (DSP) Dr. Shyam Krishna Laudari said, 'Based on that, their follow-up check-ups and medicines will be arranged.'
It has been reported that the health check-ups of the police officers working at the Highway Security and District Traffic Police Office, the police officers working at the District Police Office, the Karnali Provincial Police Battalion, and the Karnali Provincial Police Office have been conducted. The Police Hospital has stated that health check-up programs will be conducted in various districts of Karnali after Surkhet.
Police officers should openly discuss their health problems with their families and health workers and seek timely treatment to stay healthy, said Karnali Province Police Office Spokesperson (SSP) and Acting Chief Kedar Prasad Khanal. Since the police hospital is located in Surkhet, if they have any minor or major problems, they should consult an experienced doctor at the hospital to get healthy, said SSP Khanal at the health check-up program.
It is reported that 500 police officers, including 229 in the Karnali Province Police, 48 in the Province Traffic Highway Management Office and the District Traffic Police Office, 89 in the District Police Office and 134 in the Karnali Province Police Office, have undergone health check-ups. There are 17 health workers including two doctors working at the Karnali Province Police Hospital.
