Classification of the Injured in the 'Gen-Z' Movement Into Four Types

Nov 14, Kathmandu - The government has classified those injured during the 'Gen-Z' movement into four categories.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, informed that a technical committee formed to classify those injured during the protests has divided the injured into four categories. According to him, they have been divided into four categories - very serious, serious, moderate and normal.

The government had formed a 10-member technical committee under the coordination of Dr. Saroj Sharma, head of the Ministry's Department of Quality, Measurement and Regulation.

The injured have been classified based on the type of injuries. The ministry has stated that 23 are very serious, 21 are serious, 23 are moderately injured, and 11 are minor injured based on the type of injuries sustained.

Identity cards will be provided to the injured as per the classification. The government has already issued a circular to all district administration offices directing them to complete the classification of those injured during the protests.

2,572 people were injured during the 'Gen-Z' protests held on Bhadra 23 and 24, informed the ministry's spokesperson Dr. Budhathoki. Of these, 11 are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
