Nov 15, Kathmandu - Madhesh Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav has accused representatives of the Indian Embassy of threatening political parties.
Addressing the people of the province on Saturday, Chief Minister Yadav alleged that political parties were receiving threats from the Counselor's Office of the Indian Embassy in Birgunj. He said that the main reason for political instability and deterioration in Madhesh is the threats coming from the Indian Embassy.
He said, “Representatives of the Counselor’s Office in Birgunj have been threatening party leaders and threatening to split the party without directly communicating with them.” During his speech, Chief Minister Yadav also said that he faced security challenges. He also revealed that the security agencies had asked him to participate in only limited programs, citing security challenges.
"Chief Minister, special programs should be reduced a little. Limited programs should be held. There is a security challenge. The security agencies have said that you should be sensitive," he said. Chief Minister Yadav said that there is a security threat not only to himself but also to ministers and members of the provincial assembly participating in the government.
