Fire Incidents Increase With the Onset of the Dry Season

Nov 15, Kathmandu - With the onset of the dry season, there has been an increase in fire incidents across the country. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, from the morning of Kartik 10 to 10 am on the 11th, seven fire incidents occurred across the country. According to the authority, fires in Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Bhaktapur, Rolpa, Surkhet, and Kailali have caused a large amount of damage to physical property.

According to the NEA, 16 fire incidents occurred across the country on Kartik 10. On that day, two fire incidents occurred in Bara and Rupandehi. Similarly, physical property was destroyed due to fire incidents in Panchthar, Jhapa, Morang, Udayapur, Dhanusha, Rautahat, Bhaktapur, Rasuwa, Kaski, Syangja, Baglung and Humla.

According to the NEA, on Kartik 26, there were 11 fire incidents across the country. On Kartik 25, there were eight fire incidents and on Kartik 26, there were nine fire incidents across the country. The NEA has warned everyone that the fire incidents occurred due to public awareness and carelessness.

Similarly, three people fell ill due to dengue fever in Taplejung on Friday alone. Two Japanese citizens fell ill due to dengue fever in a local place called Khamachen while on their way to the Kanchenjunga base camp. Similarly, an American citizen also fell ill while returning from the Kanchenjunga base camp. Three people have been injured due to animal attacks in Morang, Sindhupalchowk, Myagdi and Bardiya.
