Nepal Advances to Semifinals with Comprehensive Win Over USA

Nov 16, Kathmandu - Nepal has entered the semi-finals of the Blind Women's T20 World Cup with a comprehensive 10-wicket win over the United States. Nepal achieved the target of 18 runs set by the United States in the match played on Sunday without losing a single wicket in 4 balls.

For Nepal, Dilsara Dhamala scored an unbeaten 12 runs. Earlier, USA, who were invited to bat after winning the toss, were bundled out for 17 runs in 9.4 overs.

No American player managed to reach double figures. For Nepal, Dilsara Dhamala took 3 wickets and Sunita Ghimire took 1 wicket.

This was the lowest score in blind cricket so far. The previous lowest total in blind cricket was 21 runs scored by West Indies against Pakistan in 2006.

With the third win, Nepal has collected 6 points from four matches. Earlier, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka by 9 wickets in the first match and defeated Australia by 8 wickets before losing to India by 85 runs.
