Two Fugitives Arrested During 'Gen-Z' Protest in Jhapa

Nov 17, Kathmandu - Two detainees who escaped during the 'Gen-Z' movement have been arrested. Two detainees who were remanded in custody for investigation after their remand was extended by the Area Police Office have been arrested in Jhiljhile.

They had escaped from custody on Bhadra 24 during the Gen-Z movement. According to DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, Jhapa, Rajendra Tajpuriya, 29, of Shivasatakshi Municipality-4, who was being investigated in a drug case, and Nanakishore Shah, 40, of the same case, had escaped.

A team from the Area Police Office, Jhiljhile, arrested them from their homes and brought them back into custody.
