The goal is to collect as much revenue as possible to build the country: Min Bahadur Gurung

Nov 17, Kathmandu - Min Bahadur Gurung, the owner of Bhatbhateni Supermarket and businessman, has said that his goal is to deposit more and more money in the country's revenue account.

At a program organized on the occasion of Tax Day in Kathmandu on Monday, he said that the country is built with the money deposited by businessmen like him, and therefore, more money should be deposited in the country's revenue account.

He said, "I never want to see a decrease in the revenue account of our country. We should always be able to deposit more and more money in the revenue account of the country. The money we deposit is what will build the country. That is why I think we should collect taxes."

Similarly, the Gen-Z movement that took place on Bhadra 23 and 24 caused a lot of damage and now we need to move forward seriously.

He said, ‘There was a big Gen-Z movement on Bhadra 23 and 24 and the Gen-Z changed power in two days. Now we need to move forward seriously. If we don’t, there may be more such movements.’

If we can expand economic activities, revenue will increase by itself: Chairman Agrawal In the same vein, Nepal Chamber of Commerce Chairman Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal said that expansion of economic activities and revenue growth are complementary to each other and that if economic activities are expanded, revenue will also increase.

He said, "National Tax Day is not just a one-day celebration. It is a respect for the shared commitment of responsible tax administration and taxpayers. Expansion of economic activities and revenue growth are both complementary to each other. The more economic activities we can expand, the more revenue will increase and it will be easier to achieve the goals set by the government."
