Nov 17, Kathmandu - Nepali national cricket team captain Rohit Kumar Poudel is set to pursue his academic journey alongside his cricket career.

Captain Poudel, who is reaching the pinnacle of cricket, is now set to open a new dimension in his career through management studies, according to Phoenix College.

The college has provided a 100 percent scholarship to Poudel, who prioritized his educational journey despite his cricket stardom.

Phoenix College is confident that the addition of a successful, disciplined and inspiring personality like Poudel to the college family will give students more energy for leadership, discipline and continuous hard work.

Raju Tandon, Network Director of the college, said, “We are very happy to support the educational journey of talented players who contribute to the country. We are always ready to set an example that education and sports can move forward together.”

Phoenix College has also been encouraging the balanced development of both sports and education by providing full scholarships to other players of the national team.
