'Rastriya Paribartan Party' Registered Under the Leadership of Rajesh Portel, Who Lost his Leg in the Gen-Z Movement

Nov 17, Kathmandu - The 'Rastriya Paribartan Party' led by Rajesh Portel of Jhapa, who lost a leg after being injured during the Gen-Z movement, has been registered with the Election Commission. An application for registration was submitted to the Commission a month ago on Kartik 2, with a 21-member central committee led by 28-year-old Portel of Suryodaya Municipality-10, Jhapa.

After the party registration process was completed, Commission Secretary Mahadev Pantha handed over the registration certificates to the party office bearers and members, including Chairman Portel, on Monday. The office bearers and members who arrived to receive the certificates appeared at the Commission wearing the national flag of Nepal.

Portel, who lost his leg in an explosion during the protest, appeared before the commission on Friday on crutches and identified himself. He was seriously injured when an explosive device exploded in front of the Jhapa traffic office and returned home after receiving treatment at BNC Hospital for about 15 days.
