Nov 17, Kathmandu - In a devastating accident in Sunwal, Western Nawalparasi, a father has lost his life while his son sustained injuries after their car went out of control and fell from a bridge.

The deceased, 80-year-old Maniram Poudel of Panni Rural Municipality-6, Arghakhanchi, succumbed to severe injuries at the District Hospital, Prithvi Chandra Parasi.

The incident occurred around 1 PM on Monday when a car, heading from Butwal towards Bardghat with registration number Province No. 3-01-02-3 50 75, lost control under the Sunwal Municipality-13 Suryabasti area on the East-West Highway and fell off a bridge.

The vehicle was carrying only the father and son. The driver, 43-year-old Harishchandra Poudel, was seriously injured and is currently receiving treatment at the district hospital.
