Yadav Singh Hospitalized After Health Issues During Hunger Strike at Maitighar Mandala

Nov 18, Kathmandu - Yadav Singh, who has been fasting in protest at Maitighar Mandala, has experienced a decline in health and has been admitted to Bir Hospital. He was taken by ambulance to the Emergency General Ward (Gen-Z Ward), where he is now receiving medical treatment.

Singh was previously taken to the hospital on Kartik 28 after his health worsened during his ongoing indefinite fast demanding the fulfillment of his demands. He has been protesting at Maitighar Mandala, demanding justice and action against the authorities.

Singh's key demands include action against those suppressing the Gen-Z protests, job guarantees for families of martyrs and the injured, and thorough investigation into corruption cases. He has also called for the immediate arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and to prosecute them under criminal law for alleged mass killings.

Additionally, Singh demands that the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 be declared a people's movement against corruption and calls for an investigation into the assets of judges. He has stated that he will continue his fast until his demands are met.
