Nepali Ambassador Discusses Issues Including Visit and Work Visas Suspended by UAE

Nov 18, Kathmandu - Nepali Ambassador to the UAE, Tej Bahadur Chhetri, met with Rashid Madhar, Acting Joint Secretary for Consular Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, today regarding the issues of visit and work visas suspended by the UAE.

The Nepali Embassy stated that in the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE on Tuesday, detailed discussions were held on labor cooperation between the two countries, challenges seen in consular services, hassles faced by workers, paperwork and streamlining service delivery.

The embassy also stated that positive discussions were held on ways to make the visa process easier and faster for Nepalis currently coming to the UAE for employment and visits.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Majid Al Mansoori, Director of the Foreign Citizens Section of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ranjita Dahal, Counselor and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Nepali Embassy.

The Nepali Embassy expressed its belief that the meeting will strengthen mutual coordination between the two countries and help protect the interests of Nepali workers and citizens in the UAE.
