We will seek legal remedies to restore Parliament: Oli

Nov 18, Kathmandu - Nepal Communist Party (UML) Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that his party will choose the path of legal remedies and peaceful struggle against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

At a meeting of CPN (UML) affiliated members of the dissolved House of Representatives today, he said that they will file a writ petition in the Supreme Court for the restoration of the parliament as a political solution must be found through its restoration.

In the meeting, the party's vice-chairman Bishnu Prasad Poudel stressed that everyone should understand that the role of UML in a crisis lies in the future of the country. Party General Secretary Shankar Pokharel said that there should be an impartial investigation into the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24. Discussions are ongoing in the meeting.
