Nov 20, Kathmandu - The Nepali Congress Central Working Committee meeting has been postponed. The meeting called for Kartik was postponed earlier and was called for 2 pm today.

Congress Party Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel issued a notice today and said that the meeting called for today has been postponed to be held next Saturday at 1 pm.

The Central Committee meeting, which began on Ashwin 28, has been postponed and ongoing repeatedly. There are ongoing differences in the meeting regarding the issue of the party's 15th General Convention.

The Central Committee meeting is being prolonged due to a dispute among the leaders over whether to hold the party's general convention before or after the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21.

General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma, among others, are in favor of holding a regular or special general convention within Mangsir-Paush, while some office bearers and former office bearers close to President Deuba are in favor of holding it in Baisakh after the elections.

While the Central Committee meeting is ongoing, separate meetings and gatherings have been held between the founding party and other parties regarding the issue of the general convention.
