Children Under the Age of Eighteen Suffering from Burns To Be Treated Free of Charge

Nov 21, Kathmandu - Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital will provide free treatment to children under the age of 18 who have suffered burns.

Prafulla Sharma, the hospital's administrative chief, informed that free treatment has been arranged for children who have suffered burns due to fire and other causes. He also said that 142 children were treated free of charge last year.

The hospital's medical director, Dr. Santosh Bhandari, said that services including surgery, beds, dressings, and medicines will be provided free of cost to burn patients under the age of 18.

The hospital, which was established in 1997 with the main goal of treating burn patients, has so far provided treatment to more than half a million burn patients.
