Scholarships to 51 Students from the Endowment Fund Established

Nov 21, Kathmandu - Scholarships have been provided to 51 students from the Akshaya Kosh established in memory of their parents.

A program was organized at Araniko Secondary School in Nuwagaun, Rolpa and scholarships worth one lakh rupees were provided to 51 students.

At the program, Akshaya Kosh founders Jivraj Budha Magar and Amrit Bahadur Budha Magar, founding principal of the school Kulananda Giri, chairman of the school management committee Kabiraj Budha, principal Ganesh Kumar Gharti Magar, and others distributed scholarships.

Jivraj Budha Magar, wife Yashika Bantha Magar, who was born in Nuwagaun, Triveni Rural Municipality-2, Rolpa and now lives in Texas, USA, and Amrit Budha Magar and Deepa Budha Magar, who are from Nuwagaun, Rolpa and now live in Ghorahi, Dang, have established an Indra-Mai-Dal Akshaya Kosh of Rs. 501,151 at Araniko Secondary School in Nuwagaun, where they studied, in memory of their parents, in-laws, and uncles and cousins.

From the interest earned with the same endowment fund, scholarships have been provided to 51 meritorious, needy, and excellent students studying in grades 1 to 12 at the school.

School Principal Ganesh Gharti Magar expressed his gratitude to the donors who have made significant contributions to the educational progress of the school and the bright future of the students by providing scholarships to 51 students this year through the Indra-Mai-Dal Endowment Fund.

He expressed special gratitude to the donor family for the work, saying that the scholarship has provided inspiration, encouragement and opportunities to the students.

Among the donors to the Akshaya Kosh, Jeevraj was a former journalist and human rights activist. Similarly, Amrit is the district president of the CPN (UML) Rolpa district.
