Indian Fighter Jet Crashes in Dubai, Pilot Dies

Nov 21, Kathmandu - India's indigenous fighter jet Tejas has crashed during a demonstration at the Dubai Air Show in the United Arab Emirates. The Indian Air Force has confirmed that the Tejas aircraft crashed at the Dubai Air Show.

The air force said the pilot, who was critically injured in the crash, had died. News agency PTI posted a video of the incident. In the video, a plane can be seen plummeting towards the ground. Then, a plume of fire and black smoke can be seen.

The plane crashed at 2:10 pm today, according to news agency PTI. According to the Associated Press news agency, the exhibition is being held at Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai's second largest airport. When the accident occurred, smoke rose at the airport and sirens sounded.
