Nov 22, Kathmandu - Karnali Yaks opener Mark Watt scored a half-century on the sixth day of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) against Lumbini Lions.
Chasing a target of 157 runs set by Lumbini at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Saturday, Watt scored 50 runs off 29 balls for Karnali. He hit three fours and five sixes. This is his 11th half-century in the second edition.
Similarly, Watt is the ninth batsman to score a half-century in the second edition based on batting. Chitwan Rhinos' Ravi Bopara and Pokhara Avengers' Kushal Bhurtel have each scored two half-centuries in the competition.
At the end of 10 overs, Karnali have scored 102 runs for the loss of one wicket.
Watt and William Bosisto, who are currently at the crease for Karnali, are playing on 61 and 24 runs respectively. Earlier, Karnali lost opener Priyansh Panchal for 12 individual runs.
Panchal had earlier played a half-century innings of 90 runs against Chitwan Rhinos in the first match.
Lumbini's Sher Malla took one wicket.
Earlier, Lumbini, who had opted to bat after losing the toss, had scored 156 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
