Kathmandu lost Ricardo Vasconcelos as the second wicket after scoring a total of seven in 2 balls of 2 overs.

He was run out after scoring 3 runs in 4 balls. Opener Akash Tripathi was dismissed in the fifth ball of the first over.

He was caught out by Biratnagar's Merchant de Lange through captain Lamichhane. Kathmandu was invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur.
