Memorandum to the Minister of Communications Requesting 4G Service in Villages of Karnali

Nov 22, Kathmandu - A memorandum has been submitted to Minister for Information and Communications and government spokesperson Jagadish Kharel, demanding 4G services in villages of Karnali.

A team led by young Ashish Devkota met Minister for Communications Kharel and made this demand.

They say that the government has prioritized the promotion of free Wi-Fi in cities, but has neglected rural areas.

They urged that the real problems of Karnali be addressed first.

Soru Rural Municipality of Mugu has also sought government assistance for the expansion of 4G services. The youth have also submitted a letter from the rural municipality to Minister for Communications Kharel.

Poudel informed that Minister for Communications Kharel, while receiving the memorandum from the youth and the letter from Soru Rural Municipality, stated that Karnali is his main target area and has pledged to take immediate and long-term initiatives for the expansion of 4G services.
