Eight Indian Nationals Arrested for Betting on NPL

Nov 23, Kathmandu - Eight Indian nationals have been arrested for betting on the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has said that they were arrested from the Balkhu area of ​​the capital on charges of betting on games through an online betting site.

The Indian nationals arrested by the Crime Investigation Office team are Raja Yadula, Mahesh Babu, Pandit Srinivasulu, Sheikh Shoyab, Naveen Maddela, Mohammed Rafi Sheikh, Sai Kumar Tammisetti and Sheikh Chand Basal.

Police have said that they are investigating the matter of betting on them. Earlier, two people were arrested on charges of inciting players to fix matches.
