Nov 23, Kathmandu - Nepal has been stunned by India in the final of the 'First Blind Women's Cricket World Cup-2025' T20 tournament. India defeated Nepal by seven wickets in the final match held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Sunday.
Batting first in the match, Nepal scored 114 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Sarita Ghimire top-scored for Nepal with an unbeaten 35 runs and Bimala Rai contributed 26 runs.
The Indian team achieved the target of 115 runs set by Nepal in 12.1 overs for the loss of three wickets. Karuna K top-scored for India with 42 runs off 27 balls, while Phula Sarin contributed an unbeaten 44 runs off 27 balls.
The tournament featured six teams from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia and the United States, along with Nepal. The T20 tournament began in Delhi on November 11, with some matches being played in Bengaluru.
The knockout stage matches were played in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.
