Nov 24, Kathmandu - Provincial Hospital Gaur has been ranked as the best in Madhesh Province for the second consecutive year.
The Provincial Hospital in Gaur, the headquarters of Rautahat district, has been ranked as the best based on performance evaluation after a monitoring inspection conducted under the Minimum Service Standards Implementation Program under the Madhesh Province Ministry of Health. Director of the Health Directorate, Saroj Chandra Neupane, announced that Gaur Hospital has been ranked as the best at the closing ceremony of the three-day annual review seminar.
Gaur Provincial Hospital has succeeded in becoming number 1 among the 7 provincial hospitals in Madhesh Province by scoring a total of 91 percent based on the evaluation. Earlier, in the fiscal year 2080.81, Gaur Provincial Hospital was declared the best in the province.
The annual programs of provincial hospitals in districts other than Parsa were reviewed at the three-day provincial-level annual review seminar of health programs implemented in the fiscal year 2081.82.
Under the Minimum Service Standards Implementation Program, Gaur has consistently shown excellent performance. The hospital has been given separate ratings based on the services provided by the hospital, the condition of doctors and health workers, their behavior with patients, the condition of physical infrastructure, ambulances, canteens, patient beds, operating rooms, toilet conditions, cleanliness, and the facilities provided by the hospital to patients.
Jaleshwor Hospital came second with 80 percent marks and Siraha came third with 78 percent marks. Janakpur Provincial Hospital, under the Madhesh Academy of Health Sciences, came last with 50 percent marks.
