Deadly Attacks in Gaza: Civilian Casualties Rise Amid Ongoing Conflict

Nov 24, Kathmandu - Israeli airstrikes targeted the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza on Monday, resulting in four Palestinian deaths and multiple injuries, according to medical sources in Gaza.

In the eastern areas of Gaza, including Al-Tufah and Shujaya, the strikes caused significant casualties. Medical officials reported that one person was killed in an attack on the eastern part of Gaza City, while another was killed and two others injured in a drone attack in Khan Younis, as per the Palestinian news agency (WAFA).

Meanwhile, in the city of Bani Suhaila east of Khan Younis, casualties from an Israeli drone attack have led to the death toll rising to four. Reports indicate that Israeli forces continue their offensive in southern Gaza, with explosions reported in the eastern outskirts of Gaza City, including in Al-Tufah, where vehicles laden with explosives were reportedly detonated.

The ongoing hostilities follow the recent ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on October 11, after U.S. President Donald Trump’s initiative to end the conflict. The agreement involves the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and the return of displaced residents in northern Gaza, marking a significant step towards de-escalation between Hamas and Israeli authorities.
